Who We Are
Book Forge all started as an idea five years ago by a seasoned Software Engineer named Ben Houston. He had two kids in early elementary and middle school and was upset by the "educational" resources his kids would bring home. Every single activity book they brought was stock and designed to cover a wide range of children with different interests and needs, often coming out bland and uninteresting. He had a hard time getting his kids to do their take-home schoolwork and wished that they were tailored more to fit his children's specific educational needs. He began thinking, wouldn't it be so much better if my children's schoolwork was actually designed for my children? So, he got to work! Five years later, Ben finally launched his finished product. Customizable activity books with full flexibility about the difficulty and content within the book, creating a perfectly tailored educational resource specifically designed for every single child.
How it Works
Book Forge uses a unique AI software system pulling from a database of information to create customized activity books fitting within the chosen specifications. The program pulls words around the level of difficulty selected fitted within the chosen theme and intricately creates puzzles, word games, drawings, and other activities to create the content within the book. To personalize it further, the child's name is put on the front page, their name is included in puzzles and text throughout the book, and all of the instructions for the activities are designed for the actual child, instead of broad and confusing directions. Once the manufacturing process is complete, the finished product is a one-of-a-kind personalized activity book for your child. No activity is the same, and even if you input the same information into the software system again, a completely new book will be created!
Our Goal
Our goal is to revolutionize the education system by creating academic resources that improve the overall engagement and learning for children in the early stages of primary education. In our perfect world, the academic resources are designed for the children themselves, instead of trying to conform the children to a standardized education. By creating products specifically designed for individuals, there is a dramatic increase in the overall interest and engagement placed on educational tools.
